From july 2025 until february of 2026 I will be cycling with some friends. This trip has been in the planning stages for a long time and I am very excited to finally do it.
The Route
We will fly to Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. From there, we will takte the train up to Wakkanai, a small town on the north coast of Hokkaido. There our journey will start. First we will want to reach Cape Soya, the northernmost point of the whole of Japan. The route will take us south all through Japan, after which we will take a ferry to Busan, South Korea. We will have a couple weeks to cycle through South Korea and fly over to Hanoi, Vietnam. The plan is to cycle down to Ho Chi Minh City, over to Cambodia, through Thailand, into Malaysia and finally Singapore. The trip is not planned out in any detail, it's more of a rough idea.
